Marinas in Croatia
Well-indented, the coast smells of inebriating wild Mediterranean herbs, such as rosemary, laurel, immortelle, Spanish broom, strawberry-tree, blended with the scents of garden-sage, mint, wild thyme and other aromatic herbs growing on nearby slopes.
Olive, long-lasting symbol of time and space, can be found everywhere. Even where nature is most lacking in soil, the man has found the way to protect it by kilometres of dry stonewalls winding through the lonely glades of islands dipped in the crystal blue of the sea.
From Umag to Cavtat there are 40 marinas. Half of them are ACI marinas, while others are self-contained or within hotels and tourist companies. Almost all marinas are open throughout the year and they offer all administrative services (border police, customs, harbour master’s office).
